What is BounceBrowser?

BounceBrowser is a URL routing app that lets you automatically open links in your preferred browser based on custom rules. Share a URL with BounceBrowser, and it will redirect it to the right browser based on your configured rules.


How to Use

Creating a Rule

  1. Open the app and go to the Rules tab
  2. Tap the + button to add a new rule
  3. Enter a URL pattern (e.g., github.com)
  4. Choose a match type:
    • Contains: Matches if the URL contains your pattern
    • Is equal to: Matches only exact domain matches
  5. Select the browser to open matching URLs
  6. Tap Save

Using the Share Extension

  1. In any app, tap Share on a link
  2. Select BounceBrowser from the share sheet
  3. The URL will automatically open in the browser matching your rules
  4. If no rule matches, the URL opens in Safari

Viewing Installed Browsers

Go to the Browsers tab to see which compatible browsers are detected on your device. You can download other compatible browsers from the App Store.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn’t my browser appear in the list?

Make sure the browser is installed on your device. BounceBrowser automatically detects installed browsers. If you just installed a browser, reopen BounceBrowser to refresh the list.

Can I create multiple rules?

Yes! You can create as many rules as you need. Rules are evaluated in order, and the first matching rule will be used.

Why does a URL open in Safari instead of my chosen browser?

This can happen if:

Does BounceBrowser collect my data?

No. BounceBrowser does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All your rules are stored locally on your device.
